Join us for the artists’ reception on Wednesday, November 30. FSBA has 50 members across Florida and is a chapter of the American Society of Botanical Artists, a collective of artists with over 1900 individual members around the world. ![]() To accomplish this goal they host meetings, exhibitions, guest presentations, workshops, and field trips. In almost all instances, their beauty belies their potential harmfulness.įSBA seeks to nurture a community dedicated to the historical tradition of Botanical Art. We find growing and observing the plants to be very rewarding. ![]() All you need is the right soil, the right location and rainwater (not usually in short supply in this country). Other plants featured are poisonous if touched or ingested by people or animals. The Wicked Plants Visit Our Wicked Shop We’ve found growing carnivorous plants to be easy, and very entertaining. Some of the plants included have obvious thorns while others have extensive root systems or are invasive. This unique exhibit showcases the work of 20 different artists tasked with creating images of plants they consider to be wicked. Conservation Foundation welcomes the Florida Society of Botanical Artists (FSBA) and their exhibit, Wicked Plants. ![]()
